Why the DIY stuff hasn't worked

Granules, sonic spikes, castor oil, juicy fruit gum: if they worked, we wouldn't have a mole service. The problem is none of them reach the active tunnels where moles actually live and feed.

Our approach uses professional bait that mimics the earthworms and grubs moles eat, placed directly into active tunnel systems we identify by probing your yard. The mole finds it the same way it finds food, because to the mole, it is food.

Fair warning we always give: neighboring yards can keep sending new moles. Some yards need one treatment, others need seasonal attention. We'll be straight with you about which you are.

The Process

How the mole program works

1

Heavy initial baiting

We probe and identify active tunnel systems across your yard, then bait them directly. This is the bulk of the work, and where DIY approaches physically can't follow.

2

Free 30-45 day checkup

We come back and walk your yard again at no charge, checking for fresh activity. Most yards show clear results within 2-4 weeks of the initial baiting.

3

Reduced-rate follow-up if needed

If activity persists, we re-treat at a reduced rate, and repeat until it's resolved. On a quarterly plan? We monitor mole activity at every regular visit, free.

Quoted by yard size & activity

Current Zero Pest customers get a meaningfully reduced rate as a plan perk, plus free activity monitoring at every quarterly visit. Follow-up treatments always cost less than the initial.

Mole & vole questions

How fast will I see results?
Most yards show a clear drop in fresh tunneling within 2-4 weeks. The free checkup at 30-45 days confirms it.
One mole or many?
Usually fewer than people think. A single mole can tunnel an impressive amount of yard per day. The bigger question is population pressure in your area, which determines whether you need one treatment or seasonal attention.
Is the bait safe for my dog?
Bait goes underground, directly into tunnel systems, not on the surface. We'll flag placement areas and give you simple guidance for the first days after treatment.
Voles too?
Yes, we treat vole activity as well. They're surface-runway rodents rather than deep tunnelers, so the approach differs, and we'll identify which one you actually have. It changes the plan.
